I bought theses pants to do chores in on a hog farm this winter. They are truly warm in the sub zero weather we are having. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size larger (14) than I usually wear (10-12) and the fit is fine. The reason to order a size larger is that the waist is tighter than normal. The legs have plenty of room and they are straight legs and can fit over the top of my Muck boots with ease. I can put a thin layer of long john uunderwear beneath them.

I got these today, and I am so excited! I love, Love, LOVE everything about these lined pants! They fit like a dream, are a little stretchy, very soft, and super comfortable! Nice generous pockets, and great detailing. Very well-sewn seams, including triple-sewn outer leg seams. The fleece lining is soft and cozy, and stretches smoothly with the outer fabric. I may buy Carhartts for all my pants/jeans from now on. Thank you so much for a very high quality product, at an affordable price!!

So far, all I've done is try them on. Haven't worn them for a day nor washed them yet. But right off the bat, I think I LOVE these pants! The outside material is way softer than I was expecting. I have a pair of Carhartt pants that I've hardly worn (and are too big for me now, anyway) for two reasons: they were too baggy throughout the legs and the material was SO stiff, even after multiple washings. I was prepared to see the same thing in these fleece-lined pants. Nope! The fleece inside is buttery soft and the material outside is surprisingly soft and pliable. These are destined to be favorite winter attire. I can't wait for my next cold night star photography shoot just so I can wear these. Size: I'm 5'5" and weigh about 140 lbs. Sizing varies so much by manufacturer, I wasn't sure what size to order. I went with a size 10 because I've been losing weight slowly (but intentionally). The 10 fits, but were too tight in the waist. I could zip and button them without having to lay down on the bed or anything (like us crazy women do sometimes to get the zipper up on tight jeans), but the waistband was uncomfortably constrictive and unflattering. I kept them, but ordered the next size up (size 12). The 12 fits very nicely. If anything the waistband is a wee bit loose. I look forward to the day when "at the waist" jeans come back into style. I am not a fan of below the waist styles.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. WARM! My daughter is an equestrian and that makes me out in the cold at 7AM on Saturdays and Sundays for 10 hours at a time. I've had these pants for a month and they are so warm and so comfortable. I didn't know I bought fleece lined pants when I got them and almost sent them back. SO HAPPY I DIDNT! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these pants. I don't normally get this excited about pants HAHA but Its been cold in Boston this year so far. I AM THRILLED to have these pants. And they go perfectly with my work boots, a pair of clogs or a pair of UGG snow boots. Just SO HAPPY with this purchase. They wash fantastic too. Not one bad thing to say.

Overall great pants, but there are some things you should be aware of before purchasing. They won't be right for everyone. PROS - The lining is soft and warm. There is enough room that they move around you despite the fabric having no stretch at all. If the waist is the right size it does not gap at the back when you crouch, as advertised. The quality seems good but they're new. CONS - This design is built for an hourglass shaped body so the waist is quite narrow compared to the hips. (For the 'no gapping effect?). I had to order 1 size larger than what I normally wear, because my waist is not much narrower than my hips, but that fits well, though the hips and thighs are now a little loose. They are LONG. Normally petite fits me well. I bought the short version and they're still about 1.5" too long. The liner is great but in my pair it is slightly larger than the exterior so there are a couple of places where there is a ridge of folded over lining. As loosely as they fit it's alright, but if you have the right shape to have a close fit it may be uncomfortable or unflattering, depending upon where the folds are. There is NO stretch in the waistband and the stitching is somewhat rough. This could become irritating if you are moving a lot and have sensitive skin. The coal color is actually quite blue but not quite the same family of blue as in some other Carhartt outerwear (at least not jackets, in my experience). Overall, these are very nice and I'm definitely keeping them. They'd be perfect if the waistband had some flex built in, had a softer/smoother inner surface, and if the liner matched the exterior a little better. I'd prefer the Short to be a correct petite length, but that's easier to customize than the rest.

I love these pants! They are soft on the inside, warm and easy to move in. I like the fit. I'm 5' 2.5" and I bought the size 6. The first pair I bought I returned, as the left pocket opening was smaller than the right, and I had great difficulty in getting my hand in and out. The replacement pair are fine.I originally bought the regular length, which as I expected were a little long, but I prefer them that way. My second pair were short length, and they come just to the tops of my feet, so I'm hoping they won't shrink length wise. I like them for both wearing inside and outside. I can wear them to work, and then come home and take the dog out for a walk without having to change to warmer pants. I'm definitely considering getting a second pair.

These pants have an amazingly good fit and are super warm for my daily dog walks in the Midwestern cold season. I am 5 ft 5 and they were probably an inch or two longer than I would have preferred, but they're still some of the best winter pants I have every owned. I am buying another pair but will try the short version this time so I don't have to roll them up. I wish they had them in black too because I hate being cold and these are just so perfect, but they look so much like work pants that I wouldn't be able to get away with wearing them for other things very easily.

These are my favorite cooler weather work pants and I should have purchased a second pair while they were still available at a decent price. The only negative (and it's a small one), is that they run large. I get cold easily and these are too warm for me to wear when it's above about 65 degrees. It's rare to find women's pants like these that are sturdy, comfortable, and with adequate pockets. The fleece inner lining is dreamy.

So glad I read the reviews. I’m a 12 usually but I ordered the 14. Perfect fit. No gaps. Very comfy. I’m 5’2” and they are a little long on me but I usually like them that way. Probably could have gone with the short tho. Performance wise - awesome. Wore them the day after I got them in -10° snowy weather, outside cutting firewood for 2 days. All I wore under them was baselayer leggings and they had enough room without looking huge and were warm & comfy. I’d buy more if they came in more colors. These are great.

If you live somewhere cold, you need these pants! I moved from Texas to Alaska in December and was freezing until I bought these! If you these to look fitted , I’d size down, if not just order your regular si

If you live somewhere cold, you need these pants! I moved from Texas to Alaska in December and was freezing until I bought these! If you these to look fitted , I’d size down, if not just order your regular size. I ordered a six and they are loose but I don’t have to wear a belt or anything. I just ordered another pair in a size four. These are amazing. I walk or ride a four wheeler to work every day and these keep me warm enough on my walk that I don’t have to wear bibs but I can also wear them inside all day and not be hot! It is -25 here today and I’m wearing these, so they definitely work! If you’re going to be outside for a long period of time in the extreme cold, you can wear leggings under them (or I wear Carhartt bibs over them when I hike for hours). They are so comfy! I love them!
